The horses are fairly tolerant of our nosy, noisy chickens. They patiently share their space with a daily chorus of cheeping baby chicks, bok-bokking hens and demented rooster crowing. Horses are not very vocal animals, rarely talking as much as the movies would have us think, so it speaks volumes (pun intended!) of their nature to be generous and uncomplaining.
But feed time is still a bone of contention. It’s a fine line between the chickens helping to clean up and outright food theft!
